Apple Pie Chia Smoothie

This Smoothie is truly reminiscent of apple pie and comes just in time to enjoy it using fresh, local apples! Try it out with your favourite apple varieties!

Ingredients

  • 1 small apple cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch nutmeg and salt
  • 1 scoop of protein powder

Directions

Blend to desired consistency, add ice if desired. 

*swap the maple syrup for your sweetener of choice (honey, stevia, etc
)
**to improve digestibility of chia seeds, soak them in the almond milk for 30 minutes or overnight!
