Ginger Essential Oil & Digestive Health

While fresh or dried ginger is a common ingredient used in the culinary world, ​doTerra explains that the soothing and warming effects of this essential oil makes it very versatile.

While the focus this month is digestion, there are many ways we can incorporate this oil into our everyday life to support overall wellness.

Ginger essential oil is made up of a chemical group called sesquiterpenes, which are commonly found in soothing essential oils. 

doTerra
explains that:
  • Ginger essential oil may help support digestion through the reduction of bloating and gas when taken internally.
  • This oil can also support healthy joint function and provide antioxidant benefits.

  • By using ginger essential oil in a diffuser, you may experience a balanced grounding effect, while also being re-energized.
 
  • Ginger essential oil is also amazing as part of a relaxing massage due to it's warming and grounding effects. 

Personally, I love diffusing this oil along with Wild Orange for a calming but energizing effect, as well as adding it to my Golden Turmeric Latte for a warm, nourishing drink.
