Signs & Symptoms of Poor Endocrine Function

Our body's are so smart! They communicates with us everyday as a way to "check-in" and tell us when things are going good, and when something might be off. And, just like any other

body system, the endocrine system has a way of telling us when things are out of balance and problems need to be addressed. Below are just some of the symptoms you may experience if your body is trying to communicate an endocrine-related issue:

  • Infertility and irregular periods
  • Unexplained weight gain or weight loss
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Difficulty sleeping or Insomnia
  • Low libido
  • Changes in appetite
  • Digestive issues
  • Hair loss, hair thinning or excessive hair growth

Now, there are a number of reasons why you may experience an imbalance or issue with your endocrine system.

This may include:
  • Chronic stress
  • Poor sleep
  • Inflammation
  • Being overweight or obese
  • Exposure to toxins (mold, chemicals, alcohol, nicotine)
  • Food Allergies
  • Gut issues
  • Poor nutrition/inadequate hormone precursors
  • Genetics
 
 
If you’re experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned earlier, I suggest working with a qualified health professional such as myself, to determine what changes you could make in your diet and lifestyle that would better support your endocrine function!

​In addition to this, it may be helpful to have testing done to determine the root cause if simple lifestyle changes don’t improve your symptoms, and/or if you’re experiencing particularly unpleasant symptoms.
