OnGuard Essential Oil Blend & Immune Health

​OnGuard (also known as Protective Blend) Essential Oil is a blend of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary & wild orange oils that is available from the company dōTerra. This is one of my personal favourites because of its versatility and the prominent orange & cinnamon aroma.

The combination of oils makes it the perfect immune supporting essential oil blend.  In studies, orange essential oil has been shown to have antimicrobial effects, as well as having anxiety reducing capacities. Cinnamon essential oil has also been shown to be effective against some strains of E. Coli., as well as respiratory tract pathogens.
My favourite way to use this oil is with a diffuser. It makes the perfect ‘air freshener’. Sometimes I just open up the bottle and inhale! Delicious! This oil can also be taken internally, but as always make sure you talk to someone with experience before you do so. Because this oil is ‘spicy’ don’t get it in or near your eyes!
