In addition to that, our current health care system is more focused on putting band-aids on problems; the majority of healthcare providers lack the time, education and tools needed to address root causes.
This was one of the reasons I transitioned my career as a registered nurse to become a holistic nutritionist; I was tired pills being the go-to solution for health issues. I was also tired of hearing things like “that’s normal” or “that’s just how it is”, when I knew deep down that there must be a way for both myself and my patients to live a more vibrant life.
