Copaiba essential oil comes from the resin of the copaiba tree, which can grow taller than 100 feet. This tree is found in the tropics of South America, and has a spicy, woody scent.
While the name is likely new to you, Copaiba is known as one of the most anti-inflammatory substances on earth and is widely used in cosmetics including soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes.
In North and Northeastern Brazil, it has been dated back to the 16th century in traditional health practices by natives.

This oil is highly supportive to the cardiovascular system due to the anti-inflammatory effects as well as it's ability to sooth anxious feelings. It can be used topically, internally or aromatically (such as in a diffuser).

doTerra recommends using Copaiba in the following ways:

  • Add one to two drops to water, juice, or tea to support the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, nervous, and respiratory system.*
  • Provides antioxidant support when ingested.*
  • Place one to two drops of Copaiba under the tongue to encourage a general sense of well-being during periods of stress or nervousness.*
