This week I’d thought we’d dovetail off of the prebiotic and probiotic topic and dig a little deeper into the prebiotic foods and discuss how we can benefit from them, and when we made need to avoid them.

Probiotics are microorganisms (such as lactobacillus) that when consumed, either in a food or a dietary supplement maintains or restores beneficial bacteria to the digestive tract.

This past summer I decided to start re-introducing fish & meats into my diet after being vegetarian for 22 years. The event raised money for the Headwaters Food and Farming Alliance (HFFA) to help run their farm to school programs to many public schools in the region.
